Our Programs
Harmonizing Ecological Balance and Human Well-being through Integrated Action
At Yayasan Palka Agra Hayati, we believe that conserving nature and improving human well-being are inseparable. Our programs adopt a holistic approach, ranging from rigorous research and on the ground conservation to community based economic empowerment, to ensure Indonesia’s natural capital remains resilient, productive, and equitable for future generations.
Resource Mobilization
We mobilize financial, technical, and human resources to power high impact conservation and humanitarian initiatives.
Through strategic grants, philanthropy, and donor partnerships at national and international levels, we ensure every resource entrusted to us is managed transparently, responsibly, and deployed efficiently to generate measurable ecological and social outcomes.
Conservation & Area Management
We operate at the frontlines of conservation to protect Indonesia’s remaining biodiversity strongholds. Our work focuses on enabling effective, sustainable, and functional management of protected and conservation priority areas.
In close collaboration with government authorities, we support the protection of endangered flora and fauna, while safeguarding forest ecosystem integrity to maintain critical landscape connectivity and watershed functions.
Research & Sustainable Development
Science and evidence underpin all our interventions. As the Foundation’s environmental think-tank, we conduct applied research in ecology and sustainable development to inform policy, planning, and field implementation.
We develop innovative, evidence-based models that reconcile economic growth with ecological limits, demonstrating best practices that advance human prosperity without degrading natural systems.
Partnerships & Sustainable Funding
Recognizing that environmental challenges demand collective solutions, we build strategic, cross-sector partnerships with governments, private sector actors, and international development agencies.
Through these collaborations, we design sustainable financing mechanisms that secure long-term, transparent, and results driven funding for conservation and community-based initiatives.
Strategic Communication & Publishing
Knowledge dissemination is a catalyst for change. Through strategic communication and publishing, the foundation functions as a hub for environmental knowledge and advocacy.
We produce and manage books, journals, policy briefs, and educational media to amplify best practices, strengthen public awareness, and support evidence based environmental policy formulation.
Environmental Education & Community Engagement
Local communities are central to sustainable forest governance. We promote active community participation through environmental education that cultivates conservation ethics, cultural values, and ecological awareness.
By supporting Social Forestry schemes and providing intensive capacity building and mentorship, we empower communities to manage natural resources independently, sustainably, and in ways that generate resilient local livelihoods.
